Our Story

Line drawing of a bee with two wings, a body, antennae, and a stinger.

Beekeeping started as a family affair, working with our bees living in ancient meadows in the Devon & Somerset countryside, all of which sit within the Blackdown Hills AONB designated National Landscape. Beeswax and Honey is my passion.

Meet Devin

From the bees & the honey harvest, a desire to explore and learn all that is beeswax, from its history (think beginning of mankind) to modern day uses, I wanted to be able to produce quality beeswax products, to follow the journey of the beeswax from the hive to home. My passion is beeswax, but primarily the art of the hand dipped candle. An ancient technique, learnt from a master chandler trained in Denmark. I have been working with beeswax since 2017 and love to develop my journey into old, tried and tested uses of this wonderful natural wax.

Please do subscribe to my website and I will share my onward journey and news with you.

Time spent striving to make the best beeswax candle. From the wax to the wick, to the timing of the dip. Every hour I spend working with the bees and the wax it amazes me that these candles are the end result.

Beeswax Alchemy is me - from photographer, market trader to creator. But of course without the bees, support from other businesses, friends and family, and most importantly you, my lovely customers there would be no business. So from my home to yours - from bee to me to you - thank you.
