The wax is collected from our bees during the harvesting of their honey. It is cleaned, filtered. All products are 100% beeswax.

Beeswax candles may seem expensive, but they burn more slowly than paraffin candles, and even better, beeswax candles burn with almost no smoke or scent and clean the air by releasing negative ions into the air. These negative ions can bind with toxins and help purify the air.

Beeswax candles are often especially helpful for those with asthma or allergies and they are effective at removing common allergens like dust and dander from the air.

Each candle can vary in colour, as this depends on the colour of the wax produced by the bees, but will only vary in lighter or darker shade of the natural beeswax that you see in the picture.

I make every effort to ensure they are of same size. Please be assured what you are buying is a quality candle. We have rigorously tested our candles to make sure the correct wick is used for the correct amount of wax in each candle.

All of our pure beeswax candles offer you the following properties:-

Tips for using your candles.

• Remove all wrapping and packaging from your candle before lighting

• Ensure your candle is safely anchored and away from flammable objects before lighting.

• Keep your wick to no longer than 5mm

• Do not use hurricane lamps or lanterns for your candles, beeswax burns far hotter than many candle waxes and reduces oxygen flow which may cause the wick to smoke the glass and cause the wax to spill over the side of the candle and cause uneven burning.

• Never leave a burning candle unattended

Rolled beeswax candles are made from beeswax foundation sheets. A beeswax foundation sheet is a thin sheet of 100% pure beeswax, melted onto a tray embossed with hexagons replicating the exact honeycomb pattern created in nature by the bees. We use these sheets to create our pure beeswax rolled candles. The rolled beeswax candles are all individually hand rolled, and the result is a clean burning stunning candle, defined by its hexagonal honeycomb pattern within the wall of the beeswax candle.

These rolled beeswax candles burn beautifully without running or dripping and have the advantage of all beeswax candles that they burn with a wonderful bright light, often compared to the light of sunshine – the brightest of all the candle flames.

We use only eco cotton wicks in our beeswax candles, and of course pure beeswax.

If you buy a pair of our hand dipped beeswax candles you are buying a piece of nature, hand crafted using techniques as old as the history of candle making.

These candles burn for ~20hrs each.

Our beeswax is sourced from our own apiaries and from beekeepers across the South West of the UK. The beeswax is pure beeswax and as a result these burn beautifully, the flame reminding me of the warm light of British summers, nothing quite matches the light given off by 100% beeswax candles. Traditionally hand dipped by me so please expect variations in each candle.

Beeswax candles are known especially for their clean burning, with no soot or smoke, and especially helpful with those that suffer from allergies or asthma often associated with other types of candles.

Because each candle is a truly handmade product, there may be slight variations. I try very hard to produce a perfect size, matching the listing, but please understand that the sign of a hand made product is the perfectly imperfect.
