Our honey is collected from ancient meadows in the Devon countryside, all of which sit within the Blackdown Hills AONB. Our honey, captures the changing seasons of the stunning Devon flora. From spring apple and may blossom, to summer rich fields of wild flowers and hedgerow blackberry blossom in the autumn. Each batch throughout the year has it’s unique taste.
This current harvest is from the hedgerows of bramble flowers and the bell heather on the Blackdown Hills AONB.
This honey is the strongest of flavours of all of our honey - a rich deep flavour, probably due to the bell heather influence. Bell heather honey is not considered to be a premium heather honey unlike the Ling Honey, but never the less it’s a great contributor to our floral honey.
With real honey no batch is the same. due to the fluctuations in flowering plants. Our bees decide the flavour, we just harvest their work for you to enjoy.
If you buy honey from us, I cannot guarantee the colour or consistency, as each batch is unique - all I can guarantee is that you are buying pure 100% natural honey, natures gift from the bees to us.
Should the honey start to crystallise, a totally natural process, to return it to it's runny state, stand your jar in hot water.
