HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT

OF YOUR PURE BEESWAX

PILLAR CANDLE…

Pillar candles are designed to be burnt for longer periods of time. The first burn of your candle is crucial. It is known as the ‘memory burn’, you will need to burn your candle for at least 3-4 hours for the melt pool (molten wax) to reach the outer wall (boundary) of solid wax.

By doing this you will avoid tunneling in you candle. When a candle tunnels the flame does not get enough oxygen and will extinguish itself, meaning your candle won’t last for long and you will also have a lot of waste wax.

DON’T IGNORE THE WICK
Keep your wick trimmed. You should trim the wick when there’s mushrooming or carbon gap.

LOVE YOUR CANDLE
It’s called a hug. After the end of each burn once you have extinguished the flame, hug the edges and fold the wax inwards. This will help any tunelling, and the beeswax around the edges to be fully used.
